Leaving Massachusetts

I think that's a song?  Yes, it is time. We are getting ready to pack up and move on. It was a very nice 6 weeks. But in order to get to the warm weather area, we need to get out of here soon. Of course , plan A has been changed to plan D, I think. It doesn't look like we will make it to the Grand Canyon this year. We will never make it there before snow fall. So our new destination is the Brownsville , Texas area by November. Stay there until mid-December, and then fly back to Florida to do a couple of gigs and then get back to Texas in January.
So to get to Texas, we will be traveling via PA, VA, and TN. Staying at each place for a few days to a week or two, depending on the prices and if we like the place or not.
In the mean time, we have managed to get in 3 gigs, visit with most of our relatives and friends, and tweak the RV with different gadgets and upgrades. I had to install an exhaust system for the generator, install a tire pressure monitoring system in the truck and RV, replace the kitchen faucet, and re-arrange my desktop PC to cut down on clutter.
Here are some pics of some recent activities. Our facebook pages have a lot more. I am sorry if you still haven't given in to the facebook world, but it is what it is. Facebook has certainly made it much easier to communicate with everyone as well as finding some old friends and relatives. You really need to get in if you haven't. You can make yourself nearly invisible by setting your privacy settings, if that is your concern. Otherwise, that is pretty much how we stay in touch with everyone.
Lulu and I have learned that it is impossible to catch up with people on the phone. Speaking to only 3 or 4 friends for an hour or 2 each is pretty much tying up an entire day or night. So, we have learned that phone calls will be kept to a minimum.
We got some really sad news about the Marguerita Grill catching on fire. Lulu and I spent many weekends there and met some great people there.  Tommy and Sammy were really good to us and wanted Lulu to perform there every weekend. We hope that things work out and that they will get through this tragedy. As well as all the customers and 60 some employees that lost their jobs. You are all in our prayers. May God bless you all.
Stay in touch. Talk to you soon.
